Who knew that the Rhine valley was so lovely? Or that Kolsch beer was so refreshing? Or that cycling to a medieval village could be so fun?
For three-ish days I got to experience down-home German fun with my LP, his friend and wife, their adorable children and the wife’s very German parents in their very German town of Dormagen. We were fed sausage at every meal and vegetables straight from their garden. Each afternoon I got to ride a bicycle, in the evenings we drank beer and I enjoyed the German hospitality the whole time.
